These photographs were taken because the task of Journalistic Photography class. All these photographs are descriptions of the unique side in Surabaya. There is Suramadu Bridge when sunrise, Skate & BMX Park, The Singapore Of Surabaya, and etc. All of this photos might still many shortcomings, due to limited circumstances and conditions when taking photos. But I tried my best, so please enjoy! And leave any comment if you want, it will be my pleasure :)

Just Say My Opinion :D

Seharusnya semua mahasiswa sekarang itu dapat mata kuliah komunikasi lintas budaya, dari pada belajar PPKN terus menerus sejak SD yang tidak pernah digunakan pada akhirnya. Karena in my honest opinion, komunikasi lintas budaya lebih berguna ! Dari SD dalam pelajaran PPKN kita selalu di ajarkan bagaimana hidup bertenggang rasa, rukun dan damai, perduli pada perasaan, agama, dan budaya orang lain, toh ya pada akhirnya tidak ada hasilnya. Lebih baik belajar bagaimana komunikasi yang efektif dalam budaya yang berbeda. Karena ternyata di Indonesia, dengan masyarakat yang rata-rata berbudaya high context, banyak yang hidup berdampingan dengan budaya western yang low context. Entah itu warga western asli (re: bule) atau hanya warga Indonesia yang gaya hidupnya saja yang ke-western-western-an. Dengan adanya perbedaan itu, sedangkan kita harus tetap hidup berdampingan karena berada di lingkungan yang sama, membuat komunikasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari anda berjalan dengan sangat tidak efektif. Karena apa? Budaya tenggang rasa yang sudah di ajarkan berkali-kali sejak SD sampai bangku kuliah, TIDAK ANDA PRAKTEKAN. Pada akhirnya menimbulkan kesalahpahaman, rasa sakit hati, kecewa terhadap budaya, kelompok atau individu tertentu. INI SEBAB INDONESIA TIDAK PERNAH AKUR DAN BANYAK KEKECEWAAN DALAM DIRI WARGANYA ! Terlalu banyak menghafal pasal dalam UUD, apa itu makna pancasila, apa itu ideologi menurut saya, toh pasal-pasal UUD, makna pancasila dan ideologi itu tidak terpakai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari pada akhirnya, sesuatu yang tidak terlalu penting untuk dihafal diluar kepala dan diajarkan berulang-ulang. Seharusnya sebagai warga Indonesia kita hanya cukup tau saja apa itu pasal-pasal dalam UUD, apa makna dari pancasila dan apa ideologi bangsa ini, tidak perlu belajar berkali-kali. TETAPI sebenarnya pelajaran PPKN yang sudah anda pelajari sejak SD ini akan berguna jika anda kombinasikan dengan komunikasi lintas budaya. Pahami budaya orang lain ditempat anda tinggal. Hargai budayanya dengan cara hidup dengan bertenggang rasa terhadap perasaan, agama dan budaya mereka. Apalagi jika anda pendatang yang memiliki budaya berbeda dengan mereka. Karena anda makhluk sosial, anda tidak akan bisa hidup sendiri, anda membutuhkan orang lain dan karena anda pendatang dan menganut budaya yang berbeda dari sekitar anda, karena anda sebagai kaum minoritas *karena anda yang berbudaya high context hidup di budaya low context*, sebaiknya anda mencoba mencari informasi bagaimana budaya ditempat anda tinggal. Agar tidak terjadi kesalahpahaman, rasa sakit hati kekecewaan & perasaan tidak diterima dalam diri masing-masing budaya.
